Kaiya’s storytelling and distinctive voice have earned praise from renowned artists including Tori Kelly, Leslie Odom Jr., David Foster, and JP Saxe. After sharing an intimate cover of Saxe’s song “Fear and Intuition” on social media, she was invited to meet him backstage, where they performed a duet together – an experience that led to her opening for his ‘A Grey Area World Tour’ in Montreal. Kaiya has also opened for Canadian staples Jamie Fine and Virginia to Vegas in 2025. Out of her over 200 recorded performances, most notably, Kaiya was one of only two Canadians to receive a Golden Ticket from Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry on Season 22 of American Idol, which led to a special performance for patients and staff at Cohen Children’s Medical Center through the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
Her songs resonate deeply with both audiences and fellow musicians. Her debut single, “Speak Out,” earned a Top 3 spot in the 2021 International Women’s Freedom Song Contest. She followed that success with “Sweet Talker,” which won first place in the Teen Category of the American Songwriter 2023 Song Contest, and “Polaroids,” which placed in the Top 100 of CBC Searchlight in 2023, Top 100 in Vanda and Youngs Global Song Comp in 2024 and took home both first place and the Staff Pick award in the Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall Youth Musician Commission’s Song Contest. Her songs have also placed on editorial playlists on both Spotify (Brand New Pop, Afro Indie, Fresh Finds) and Amazon Music (cover of #popfyp, Brand New Music, Platinum Pop, Canada Now).
With a deep sense of service and a belief in the power of music to connect and heal, Kaiya often performs in support of charitable causes. She was a featured performer for CBC Radio’s nationally streamed “Jam for the Food Bank”, and was also showcased in the BBC Storyworks mini film “Coming Back to Yourself” for their series “In Pursuit of Wellness” highlighting music and mental health. It was the most watched film of the series. One of her most meaningful roles is as an ambassador for A Sound Life, an Australian organization that brings music to patients in hospital settings. For the past four years, she has performed monthly over Zoom for children undergoing chemotherapy, recovering from major surgeries, or facing serious illnesses at Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Kaiya Gamble is a rising talent and an artist to watch. She is currently working on her debut EP, featuring songs co-written with acclaimed songwriters and producers Ron Lopata, Tawgs Salter, and Simon Wilcox – whose credits include Demi Lovato, Josh Groban, Nick Jonas, and Camila Cabello. This upcoming winter, she will headline her first tour as part of Olympian Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser’s international Wickfest, a global event celebrating young women in hockey. With her soulful sound, undeniable talent, and growing list of accomplishments, Kaiya is poised to leave a lasting mark on the music world and inspire generations to come.
